Case Study

Fireskills were instructed to complete a Fire Risk Assessment on a period house in Twickenham, that had been converted into individual flats in the 1960’s. At the time of the original conversion it had been fitted with an external wooden escape staircase which was now in disrepair and required replacement.

The Fire Risk Assessment completed by Fireskills identified that the building required a fire alarm system and that an additional escape staircase was not needed.

Quotes for a replacement staircase had identified costs in excess of £10,000, however the fire alarm system was designed, supplied and fitted with a total cost of less than £3,000.

This also allowed the client to take down a dangerous and unattractive external staircase!
