What refresher training helps you restore
Restores forgotten detail
Important points on alarms, evacuation and reporting are brought back into view.
Matched to job role
General staff, wardens and marshals can be refreshed at the right level.
Useful after workplace change
A good fit when layouts, procedures or staff groups have moved on.
Bring important fire safety knowledge back into use
People forget procedures when time passes, staff change or the workplace no longer looks the way it did during the last session. A fire safety refresher course helps restore confidence in alarm response, evacuation, hazard reporting and the duties assigned to specific role holders. We can shape refresher learning for general staff, fire wardens or fire marshals, with the level of detail matched to what each group needs to remember and apply. With Fire Skills Ltd, the purpose is to bring useful knowledge back into day-to-day reach.

A flexible approach to refresher training
A refresher training session is usually a shorter course than for a full initial course. As a result, it is common for refresher sessions to be added to an initial course. This often allows 2 or 3 refresher course to be completed in the same timescale as a single initial course. Fire Skills Ltd will routinely do a Full Initial Fire Marshal session in the morning and then do 2 or 3 refresher courses in the afternoon. Talk to us with your requirements.
Frequently asked questions
When should refresher fire safety training be arranged?
Staff should be given fire training as part of their induction to the business, and this should generally be refreshed annually. Refresher training depends on risk, staff turnover, changes to procedures or layout, and what drills or reviews have shown. If confidence has dropped or knowledge has drifted, refresher training is usually sensible.
Can refresher sessions cover different roles?
Yes. We can refresh general staff knowledge as well as the added duties of wardens or marshals. The key is to match the depth of the session to what each group needs to remember, so the training remains useful rather than too broad or too thin.
What does a refresher course normally revisit?
We revisit alarm response, evacuation, hazard reporting, assembly arrangements and the duties linked to specific role holders. We also use scenarios and questions to test whether previous learning still fits the current workplace and the procedures staff now follow.
